Lucia and Edward’s sophisticated winter wedding at the Savile Club in Mayfair was a wonderful way to start my 2023 season. Winter weddings always have a certain glamour and magic about them, and theirs felt especially romantic just before Valentine’s Day.

Lucia chose to get ready at Claridge’s, a short drive away from Farm Street Church where the couple took their vows. There was a collective intake of breath as the choir's song filled the air and Lucia, wearing her bespoke Sassi Holford wedding dress, heirloom veil and 1940s headpiece, made her way down the aisle. She looked incredible and the couple dazzled in front of the gilded altar.

After the ceremony, Lucia and Edward led their 150 guests across Berkeley Square to the Savile Club, an iconic venue perfectly suited for London winter weddings. The reception began with champagne and canapés, and in a special tribute to the bride, an opera singer performed ‘Santa Lucia’ before handing over the musical baton to ALR Music’s string quartet.

The grand staircase of the Savile Club became the stage for heartfelt speeches and the cake cutting. Guests then took their seats for a candlelit dinner while Spike Edney, Lucia’s godfather and the keyboard player for Queen, played a rendition of ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’. It was a brilliant way to start the evening’s celebrations which continued after dinner with ALR’s brass band and ended with a glorious sparkler exit.

Benjamin Wheeler’s beautiful images of this stunning Savile Club London wedding, along with AK Films’ captivating video, have forever immortalised the joy and splendour of Lucia and Edward’s winter celebration.

“Emma thought of everything, and was always three steps ahead, sometimes taking my dreams and ideas right out of my mouth. She completely understood our vision for the aesthetics and feeling of the day and she delivered better than we could have imagined.

I am convinced Emma can make anything possible, and I would recommend her to anybody. She is wonderful to be around, a real asset and we were so happy and thankful to have been able to share our day with her.”
